I stuck local at Shoreham with southerly winds. But, today was pretty fun with onshore shenanigans taking me back to the early days when cross-shore was the Devil's Wind. 5m on 100ltr freestyle today. Very maxed at times and my ankles ache a bit, but some seriously entertaining moments. The rip tide was merciless so the big board was ideal to get planing and dig a rail to get upwind. Had several gybes where the board simply stopped in the turn due to the current! Still, i suspect it makes the waves a bit rampier in that inside area so all's well. Good chest high smooth wave faces further out.
